i really need information regarding the CGFNS exam and jobs here in philippines...

Published

hi guys.. i need help.. im about to take my cgfns exam on nov. 12, and i wasnt able to enroll in a review center since i was working as a call center representative and i used to work at night. i have resigned from my job and im reading the nclex-rn questions and answers made incredibly easy by lippincott which i bought outside the prc. u think this reviewer is enough for me to pass my exam? im kinda worried about this..

and i also want to know some requirements for hospitals here in the philippines, because i dont want to waste my time and money going to one hospital and another and just finding out that i lacked one of their requirements.. and like how were the exams and interviews, coz it's been a year since i graduated and i dont think it's still fresh in my memory..

thanks..

and pls pm me for your answers, i dont usually go through this site. thanks a lot!!!

Best of luck to you on your exam, but not sure why you are even taking it. It will not get you a license for the US and only four states out of 50 still require it. The NCLEX-RN exam is what you need to take in order to take the licensing exam for the US.

As far as jobs, please take the time to do some reading here. Not much going on since there are many more graduates than there are jobs available, and you would be starting in a training or volunteer position for at least 6 months without pay.

my cousins in connecticut told me that i still have to take cgfns and ielts before going there and then il take nclex when im already there.. i dont know.. they're the one's making the decision for me.. its really hard for me coz ever since i never really liked nursing... and i wouldnt have resigned from my work if it wasnt because of that exam..

anyways thanks suzanne... ure really a good help.. i dont have any choice but to take it since it's already paid..

Why do nursing if it is something you do not enjoy? Surely much better to do something you will enjoy? Retrogression is going to take years

Yes you do have to take CGFNS exam for Connecticut

hi, nickles05! i also took cgfns exam last nov 12. i really don't have any idea what will be my outcome of that exam. how did u find the exam?

Anyone is looking at more than five years for a chance at a green card. And what you do or where you work should never be determined by an auntie or other relative. They do not always have your best interest at heart. We have seen too many aunties actually want their dear niece or nephew to sign with a specific agency or facility so that they would get a referral bonus and some of the locations were in places that they would never go to. Have seen it happen over and over again.

You still need the NCLEX exam for licensure and chances of even having a facility petition right now is quite slim. There is not one thing that auntie can do without an actual employer to hire you.

Sorry, but listening to a family member like this when things are as bad as they are is most definitely not in your favor.
