No one is ready, that's the secret. You're not a failure if you need to retake the exam. I work with phenomenal nurses that took a few tries to pass the exam. Focus on the basics, take a deep breath, do your best. You're ahead of the curve by even asking for ideas. You'll be okay, now or later.
From what I've heard the Kaplan questions are a little more difficult than the actual Nclex questions. I'm taking mine on the 18th. My qbank is 59% and the highest Qtrainer I got is 60%. One of my classmates only got above a 60% once on Kaplan and she passed with 85 questions.
Hope that helps.
hi i'm taking mine on the 30th of this month. my Qbank scores have been relatively similar to yours. i feel so good about my answers while i'm taking it but as soon as i'm done and see my actual scores i'm a bit shocked. then, when i review it, most of the time it was me being between two answers and i choose the other one. dope! i'm getting better i guess. hope this helps. those questions they throw at you are tricky. i need to learn to trust myself more, and go with my instinct more often. all i can say is that i'm learing.
