I have about three interviews this month for a new graduate position and one is for this hospital. I really need a job!!! Can anyone tell me how it is like working here as a new graduate? How is the nurse to patient ratio? Benefits? How is the pay? And how was the interview like (i.e. behavioral type questions, straightforward such as name your weakness and strengths)!? Any tidbit of information about the hospital will be awesome! Thanks!

hmmm, no one answered that question, and now im in the same shoes!

lindsey, do you have an interview scheduled? i'm still waiting for a call back!

Hey, are you still looking for info? I have worked at TRHMC for 18mnths. and I started as a new grad. Let me know if you need advice.

Yes, I have an interview later this week. I just went all over google looking for information about the program. My problem is that I live so far away and I would have to move out there if I get the job because the Orientation is 7-3 everyday and I can not commute 5 days a week. Any idea how much new grads base salary is? I need to know if it would be worth renting a place out there and if i would be making enough for living expenses and still be able to save money for the future.

I'd really appreciate any information anyone has :) Thanks so much!

Wow, I posted this in like 2008! But let me see if I can help you guys out. Well, I went to the interview at Reading Hospital and I got an offer, but I declined it! I really liked the hospital but the pay was not the greatest. I am not sure what is is now, but I think it was the low 20's when I applied. I also believe that once 6 months is up you do get a raise but it was a small percentage. Of course there was the shift diff, but still on the lower side for a new graduate in PA. Let me know if you have any other questions that I might be able to help you with!

Alovesjos, did you end up getting the job? Have you started working on a med-surg unit yet?

I work at RH. If you still have questions I can answer them. I can tell you the pay is crappy. There are a lot of changes going on but don't expect the pay to change.
