I am a Diploma Nurse from india with out midwifery/insted of midwifery i did psychatry nursing for the six months(in india its optional for boys) now i am in california as immigrant with my wife.Now can any one tell me which is the best way to find nursing job and is that necessary for me to study Midwifery for becoming RN.OR can any one tell me were i can get the transcript certificate of an American nursing Council to compare it with indian nursing council.Pls help me:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :crying2: :crying2:

I moved your post to its own thread on the International Forum, where it is more appropriate at this time.

US requires that you have required amount of hours in maternal and peds. You will need to make up these hours, but it can be done in about six weeks to three months, you do not need a midwifery program for that.

Best suggestion is for you to submit your application to CA Board of Nursing and see what they will accept, or submit it to CGFNS for the CES. Both will inform you of what you wil need.
