Re-validation to renew my nursing license in UK

Hello to ALL!

I work in Arizona,Mesa,

Can request any NMC Nurse to have a reflective discussion with me to renew the Nursing license and vice-versa I can help them when they have to renew.Please let me know if anybody can help?

You need to read the NMC code of practice - 21.1

Fairly sure this offer breaches it.

I have no choice.If you have any suggestion then let me know about how can I revalidate when I work in Arizona? Plus there are no UK Nurses's working here around to do the discussion.

Not saying you can't do what you want to do, but I am saying that offering inducements to do it may breach NMC code of practice.

VKALA what field of nursing are you in?

There are a few UK nurses around in the same position but I think it would need for two nurses to be in the same specialty to make the discussion thing work.

I work in Renal/Diabetic Unit.My Manager can sign as a confirmer but she is not NMC licensed,she is helping me find a Nurse to discuss in my facility,everybody is so helpful but have not seen any UK nurse around.I did find one but she gave up her Pin no.,that's the story so far!

To Grumpy RN,

You are saying Right and you do have a point in what you are saying but the NMC has put the overseas nurses like me in a dilemma of What to do?.I think whoever brought the rule of reflective discussion didn't consider nurses working internationally.God help us!
