Hello everyone. I was just wondering if anyone had any information on where I can get malpractice insurance for a correctional LVN. I looked into NSO and they do not offer insurance to nurses who work in a correctional facility. Thanks in advance

There is a forum under speciality for corrections nurses. I bet they know. Good luck.

Perhaps you can try Marsh Affinity? http://www.Proliability.com
I have heard that prison nurses have difficulty obtaining professional Liability Insurance due to the plethora of lawsuits being filed by inmates and prisoners who have nothing better to do with their time.
After all, jails, prisons, and other correctional facilities are owned and operated by city, state, county, and federal governments. Any entity owned by the State is often seen as a deep pocket stuffed with money; therefore, prisons are sued regularly.
