Re-Designing Hospital Uniforms- seeking input

I'm a fashion design student currently working with my local hospital system to redesign their uniforms. I'm looking to gather as much input as possible in order to create something that is functional, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.

This may sound silly but...can people who design ANY article of clothing please remember...

Not all short people are on the wide side and not all thin people are tall.

I am literally the size and weight of your average 11-12 year old girl. So finding uniforms that fit are very difficult.

I can find bottoms that are sized to fit me in the waist, hips, butt and thighs, yet I can make 2 more pair from the amount of extra material at the end of the bottom. Even petites are long.

I can find bottoms that are perfect in the length yet the don't come in the much smaller sizes.

I go to my local scrub stores, and find that they're only selling things that fit the rest of my requirements in junior sizing. Sorry, my body isn't exactly junior sized...and I need more pockets than the stuff that isn't junior sized offers.

And seriously. Think about the sleeves. It's possible to have longer sleeves and still look fashionable.

I get that you have to design for a set size, especially if it's going to be put on a model at a fashion show, but those models are such a small percentage of the population. It's frustrating all across the board when designers don't design for curves.

I would like a secure tab so that I could wear my college school of nursing pin and my sigma theta tau pin. Both are expensive and have sentimental value so it would have to be secure. Right now I wear them on a necklace with pin adaptors with bales which is okay.
