i've been out of the forum for i think 6 months now. until there's this email from all nurses telling me things that i've been missing.

i had my 2nd exam last may '08. so maybe some of you were asking what did i do after all those months. i had a work--two jobs in a row in able to sustain myself since after i failed the test twice, i had to gear up and be responsible living my life as should be.

honestly, after these long months..i've forgotten things about nursing. since my field of work is way too far from medicine, i am struggling on how to start all over again. my parents won't be there to help and support me. it's really a complicated situation. it's like because of this nclex exam i've ruined everything esp. family relationship. so that's how i looked upon the nclex. it's like this goal that's so hard to reach. unlike some people, having it is like buying your favourite cheese burger in a food stall.

in those two exam, both i've got this 265 questions maximum and same near passing results in all fields. i failed twice and it's really traumatic. im wishing everyone would be there to support me. i don't care if i fail more than twice, or the world turn around against me. but at least wishing and hoping my parents would be there standing firm to support me. this exam makes me emotionaly unstable til now and im really feeling depressed.

im here again in allnurses, cause in here i could be no other. in here i could find all the encouragement i have. and in here people understand me well.

i enrolled myself in kaplan and it'll start this january. i live in CA, but i had to fly to my sister here in VA so that i could have a free apartment. that includes bills and foods too. to those any of you who did kaplan, and other review materials. i don't know how to motivate myself back again. and i guess attending some classes would be a great help for me. as i see through my two consecutive failing exams, i lack in strategy on how to analyze questions. i need your help guys, to enlighten me and show me how to start all over again. Happy New Year to everyone! Is there a february nclex test taker support group around here? the new layout makes me confuse since im not use to it. don't get me wrong it's really a good layout! wishin' you all well! :)

and also since im taking the test now here in VA--but the license is still for CA. Is it okay for me to change my adress (fr

om CA to VA. i just wanna know if the result would be by the state of board you've applied which is CA? and taking the test here won't affect anything. i feel more okay here. not pressured and restless unlike the two exams i had before. to everyone who's taking the test let's work harder! and those waiting for the results, hoping you'll be okay as you wait. please try Kaplan. l am taking nclex for the second time on the 13th of Jan. l didn't take kaplan the first time. l wish l did. Kaplan to me is the best.

hello guys i was trying kaplan as well and i did think that the question bank was the closest to the actual board questions but i also did suzannes plan>her plan helped me alot to refresh my memory and to do alot of questions.i can tell you that after taking the exam 3 times and now passing at the fourth?i appreciate suzanne and her plan.id try her plan guys,it really helped me!good luck!!go nurses!!:prdnrs:mrslean709 lpn (xmas day!!!)

i know i should have tried kaplan long before..but in CA, the class won't start unless it's all filled up. i had their international program, and thankfully my uncle help me to pay for my review programs. (then and before) thanks guys. hopefully i get to know how'd it really help you. :typing

edit: im taking kaplan now in VA, they got more schedules (also in nclex)

As long as you dont give up on yourself you can make it!! Continue to pray and seek God and it will all turn around for the better. Study and pray and believe God for it he will do his part! God wouldn't bring you to it if he couldn't get you through it!!! You finished school and if you got through that you can get through NCLEX. It took me three times but I am ever grateful to God for that experience because it humbled me and helped me to tell my story to others. You are going through for a reason and in the end it will glorify God. Don't be discouraged my sister you can do all things through God who gives you strength!! Keep your head up, I will be praying for deliverance from your situation. God bless!!!

yes l am taking kaplan up to date.

kaplan is cool. you also get a live video lecture. make sure you practice everyday. l do minimum of 250 questions a day. l also use saunders cd and nclex 3000. you can can do nclex 3000 by going on google. type nclex rn3000. you will see the institutional version. practice more question form this website . you will see some of the questions on nclex 3000 on your actual nclex examination. learn infection control, and prioritization, delegation

and assignment. :uhoh21: we can pass nclex together.

Yes never give up on your dream. I passed nclex on my third attempt just recently dec 17. I failed two times and i took kaplan from my first attempt. I kept doing kaplan question bank and trainer everyday. This time i took kaplan on line which was very helpful. I focused on prioritization, infectious control alot. The key to passing nclex is prioritization, that worked for me well. Also make sure u visit random facts throwing everyday. There are important information in that thread. I know how it feels, that monster nclex was on my mind for 5 months, I couldnt sleep well, eat well. I felt the dream was hard to reach. Never give up, even when u think you cannot do it, pull your self up and get going...that monster nclex has to be defeated!!! Good luck

I agree with everyone on here!!! I'm taking my NCLEX for the third time as well. Don't give up we have come too far and everything does happen for a reason. God knows what is best for us. Just hang in there and I'm positive that 2009 will be a better year with God by our side.

thanks guys! yes never give up! :) whoah! i always visit the 'random fact throwing thread' i even print some out for my personal copy that i could read before bedtime. saunders is really good for content and im planning to review that one now and at the same time practice questions. im still waiting my username and password for the qbank. thanks guys..i really appreciate it. let's strive harder and passed the test altogether!:typing
