RCC Nursing Program Spring 2022 (ADN)

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I am starting this to share information and keep in touch just incase some of us hear back sooner than others. This is for those who plan to submit an application to the ADN program for Spring 2022. Any questions feel free to ask and hopefully this is helpful(:

Hello what is the other school you got into? I would honestly go with the for sure thing if you haven’t been accepted to RCC yet. We have excellent NCLEX pass rates but the weak students will be weeded out for sure

It’s Chaffey, which also weeds out students…. And I know a bit more about their program since my step sister did graduate from there. I am currently closer to RCC tho, Chaffey is about 25 min more of a commute for me.

I was more so interested in knowing RCC’s culture since their cohorts are much more larger and if students feel supported by faculty. DM me if you feel more inclined to discuss specifics. Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.

Hi everyone, I am a current applicant for Spring 2023, but I have also been accepted to another local CC for ADN and I'm really torn between the two. Wondering if anyone has any insight on how they are liking the program and if you feel supported by faculty and professors, what is the culture and support between peers like? RCC's cohort is about three times larger than another CC I may go to, both have great reputations and similar NCLEX rates. Any insight into the program is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

My personal opinion, RCC faculty is great if you give them a chance & aren’t afraid to open up to them. They give great advice & are truly there for their students. If you don’t pass a semester they support you in any way possible & will help you become an RN one way or another. As for students, if you put yourself out there & get to know the other students you will have a lot of great support.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, sounds like you have had an overall great experience and I was just looking for that for some reassurance. I have only really talked to the advisors that help with admissions but they have all been so kind and great thus far. Thanks again!
