RCC Nursing Fall 2020

Published

Hi, everyone!

Decided to create a forum for Riverside City College SON applicants for Fall 2020!

I submitted my application 2 weeks ago. Where are you all in terms of your application process?

CONGRATS ? if you don’t mind me asking, how many points did you have?

Hi, CONGRATS to those that got in. Has anybody been able to get in touch with anyone at RCC regarding any questions about the necessary steps to take after accepting the acceptance offer? (immunizations, background check, fingerprinting, or anything else we might need to complete before intake or bootcamp)

Hi guys check your emails! They sent a list of pharmacies and clinics to help with immunizations and the date for intake and bootcamp

I just accepted my offer. I believe I had 71 points going in if I am counting that up right.

@kfran12 Under Registration, click on Search for Classes. Then you select Fall 2020 for Term, Riverside City College for Location, and NRN-Nursing for Subject. Once selected, click Submit. A list of nursing classes should appear. Look for NRN 11 and NRN 11A. There are 8 sections for NRN 11. The first 4 sections are for CEP, and the next 4 sections are for ADN. Hope this helps!

Has anyone received an admission decision from CSUF yet?

I haven’t received anything either. But I did notice that my Application Status changed on my CSUF portal.

Where did you find this? I tried looking for something like this but couldn’t find anything.

@Clarissa Gomez When you login to your CSUF portal, under Student Self Service select Student Center > under Admissions select Application Status > then click on View Detailed Information for this Application, and it should take you to this screen.
The main thing everyone should take a look at on this screen for now is Residency Status. CSUF is notorious for putting “Non-Resident of California.” If you don’t catch it early on, they will charge you out of state tuition, and you won’t be able to change it this upcoming semester if that’s the case, but you can change it later on?

For the alternates, we don’t have to do the immunizations until we get in right? As an alternate we’re just waiting on the Intake and Boot camp right?

Yeah that’s correct, I believe it’s after boot camp and intake. Once you’re accepted, you can go get your immunizations cause I believe they give you a form or paper to fill out from what I was told by someone who was a precious student
