So I haven't found a thread for fall, so I'm going to start this one so if anyone wants to chat let's all start here...
i don't know about pharmacy tech but for cna you have to have 1000 hrs to get 5pts
For Palomar they take pharmacy tech as allied health and I have 5980 hours at my current job, so palomar accepted them for the certificate and hours. I'm also a CNA certified but not working in the field. I have to ask RCC as most school do accept the pharmacy tech it's southwestern that doesnt. They want CNA only that's it.

They might but it doesn't say that on the point scale.. call they are really nice

Your correct I had to call palamor and ask as well because it doesn't state pharmacy tech. But it's a allied health certificate so that why I ask. Southwestern doesn't say allied health certificate it says CNA license only =/
Hello everyone,
I applied for fall 2017 to both advance placement option and the regular ADN program. Im not exactly sure but I think the only way to get points from work experience is if u have work with one of their community partners. I'm not positive though I think they are using the new multipoint system to calculate the points. I do know that if u have a LVN license you don't need to take the TEAS but you have to take the Nursing 18 which is a transition course. I start NSG 18 THIS SPRING 2017 anyone else registered?
Hey everyone
Finally my chance to apply and be ready to hear if I get in and now I just feel discouraged. I applied last application period but didn't have the financial means to take the TEAS and I was right at the cusp of the cutoff for the invite. Now I reapplied and got excited about this whole revamp on the points and now I think it has backfired on me. I got 60 points in totals with the TEAS and another 2 for taking the nursing class. I'm feeling really nervous I'm just hoping someone here can put my mind at ease with how many points are you applying with and if anyone has heard of RCC accepting someone with 60 points?

If you think about it, if they get "600" applicants not all of those applicants have points for those classes. Also there are a lot of people who got there cna to get more points for the program but never used it so they don't get those points. If they were only telling people the new point system since last summer not many got into the classes. I took the prep class and there were only 20-25 people and some got into falls semester. Lol
can you tell I'm stressed out lol...
