hello, i am graduating with an AA in business and I am applying to my school's nursing program, is there an advantage in the work force of having both my ADN and an AA in business or do they not work together? sorry if its a confusing question lol just wondering. thank you

Specializes in NICU.

Nursing employers do not care about your business degree. Unless you are going for a New Grad Residency, they also do not care about your nursing GPA.

Not really. Like NICU Guy already said, employers really don't care about your business degree, nor would you likely use it as a floor nurse. On the other hand, I know several classmates of mine who have gotten their MBA after getting their MSN because they wanted to work more on the administrative or leadership side of nursing and they wanted the business background. If you plan on moving up the ladder, then the business background may actually be beneficial to you.
