Raleigh School of Nurse Anesthesia CRNA Fall 2017

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hey everyone!

I recently found out that I was accepted to RSNA's DNP program to begin fall of 2017. I wanted to see if I could connect with other students who have been accepted and will be starting the program also!

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted and I look forward to hearing from you!

I would just try to be relaxed, show them your personality, and when they ask you clinical questions, just think about scenarios in your ICU to answer them...that's what I did. Be humble, show them your desire to be in THEIR program, show them you understand what it will take, and how committed you are to making your life support what you have to do to succeed in the program. They won't "grill" you. I love the program and the faculty.

Do you mind me messaging you about the program and interview?

Piggybacking on what PICU2CRNA wrote...practice running through sample questions for the interview, let them know about your shadowing experiences--the more shadowing experiences you have the better (it shows that you have put forth the extra effort). They are going to ask you "why you want to be a CRNA" so really think about this before you interview...you don't want to sound like you've memorized your responses but you also want to provide a thoughtful, well constructed response. I believe they tailor some of the interview questions toward the type of ICU experience that you have--just be honest and don't pretend to have more experience with things that you're not completely able to talk through if they ask you a questions about it. Best of luck to you!! What day do you interview?

Sorry I never replied but I interview this week, November 1st. How do you like the program so far?

What is the timetable for hearing back? I know it was mentioned that early acceptances are offered the week after your interviews. Does this mean that the letters are mailed out on Monday? Thank you!
