  1. Piggybacking on what PICU2CRNA wrote...practice running through sample questions for the interview, let them know about your shadowing experiences--the more shadowing experiences you have the better (it shows that you have put forth the extra effort). They are going to ask you "why you want to be a CRNA" so really think about this before you interview...you don't want to sound like you've memorized your responses but you also want to provide a thoughtful, well constructed response. I believe they tailor some of the interview questions toward the type of ICU experience that you have--just be honest and don't pretend to have more experience with things that you're not completely able to talk through if they ask you a questions about it. Best of luck to you!! What day do you interview?
  2. medrn1 congrats to you also! I am from northeastern NC about 1hr 20 min from Raleigh so I will have to get an apartment there, what about you?
  3. I used a combination of resources when I was preparing for the CCRN. The most helpful resources to me were the Laura Gasparis DVD's, PASS CCRN online question-bank access, and the Med-Ed CCRN Exam Blitz with Erika Gabbard. I bought the PASS CCRN book which was around $70 and included the online access, however I only recommend purchasing the access which is about $26 through the publisher's website; the book itself is a very difficult read and is more of a reference manual than a study manual. Hope this helps!
  4. Hey everyone! I recently found out that I was accepted to RSNA's DNP program to begin fall of 2017. I wanted to see if I could connect with other students who have been accepted and will be starting the program also! Congratulations to everyone who got accepted and I look forward to hearing from you!
  5. Congrats on your acceptance PICU2CRNA! I am going to post a thread to try and connect with other admitted RSNA students for Fall 2017.
  6. I interviewed on Nov 10th and received my acceptance letter the following Monday (Nov. 14th). I shadowed a CRNA who was 12th on the waiting list when she applied the first time and the individual who was 11th on the waiting list got admitted-- she didn't get accepted that year but she was accepted the following year. Fingers crossed for you!
