Hi all! This is a thread for those who applied to Rady's 2018 New Grad RN Residency (posting closed 11/22/17). Please share updates and status changes here so we're all in the loop! Thanks! I applied to Med-Behavioral.

Thank you! I applied early in the process and remember receiving a status change within a couple of days to this: "Your application has been reviewed and is currently being considered to determine if you are one of the most qualified applicants..." It has not changed since even post interview. I remember the manager said something about possibly looking for 4-5 candidates and could change depending on census. I wish you all the best!

Good to know! Thanks so much!!

I applied early this month on the 5th, Interviewed for Hem/Onc on the 13th, had my references complete a survey not long after, was told by hiring manager of the unit that I should hear by first week of April, I'm crossing my fingers, anticipation is killing me!

Did you by chance reach out to them first? Or were you contacted?

I was contacted by the manager from Hem/Onc which was my first choice. She made it sound like she was already planning a series of interviews that week because she offered me time slots between two days. I selected the earlier day at the earliest time...maybe I read too much from what she said, who knows...

Well bummer! Congrats to you though for getting an interview! I applied to heme/onc as my first choice on March 8 and haven't heard anything :(

Thank you, still crossing my fingers for that offer, it's only been a few days since the deadline lapsed so don't lose hope, process may just be picking up steam as we speak, I'll reach out next week with HR and see if some offers have already been sent out.

I had a status change 2 days after I applied on March 5th. At first I was really freaked out because one day it had said "1 status change" and my block had turned yellow, then the next day it was back to "0 status changes" and the block was back to not yellow. BUT, after researching I found out that every time you check it, it will reupdate and go back to "0 new changes" so it seems like it "goes away" but it doesn't, it just disappears after you see it once.

Hey!! I have interview with the Hem Onc department tomorrow morning!! Any advice??

Interviewing in CVICU 4/5 as an internal candidate. I guess over 500 people applied for 4 spots

Specific examples from your experience helps with a lot of the the situational questions you will be getting: teamwork, bad patient, safety risks, etc. I was asked one priority question which was straightforward and fairly simple. Good luck with your interview!

Did you receive the email for references the same day as your interview? I interviewed yesterday and they told me they would send it but i have not received anything
