For those of you who are following the Radonda Vaught case, she was a guest on the podcast Good Nurse Bad Nurse on January 18, 2022. (For those not familiar with this case, search for Radonda Vaught and read the threads on the case. It was discussed extensively.)
I stumbled across the podcast when searching for when her trial starts.
Spoiler alert - she's the "Good Nurse" featured on the podcast.
The host gives a version of the case starting about 30 minutes 30 seconds. Radonda starts speaking around 40 minutes.
I'm surprised her lawyer would allow her to speak publicly.
The trial is currently scheduled for 3/22/2022.

If she talked about that in the interview, that was very indiscreet at the very least. Seriously? You are awaiting trial and you talk about buying a gun? That goes along with the rest of her intemperate personality that just pulled a med that started with the same letter as versed and didn't bother to know what it was that she was giving. And I have a concealed pistol permit, so I am not an anti-gun nut by any means.
She applied to buy 2 AR15 rifles and lied on her federal app…..they are using that I believe in her trial somewhere. This is scary indeed. What is the motivation? And here she was out awaiting trial and lied….very telling as to character and personality. She should never hold another nursing license IMHO. Accountability, maturity, integrity is everything. And let us not forget, plain common sense!
The trial will start soon. The jury was selected Monday, March 21.
I strongly beg to differ…..been in nursing over 35 yrs and never ever made a drug error…..it can and does happen. This nurse was after 2 yrs a nurse, a help all and training another. It is obvious now she did not have the intelligence or skill to be where she was, let alone adm meds. It is imperative you know the generic….pay attention to warnings, read read read and double check all. Just as they say in carpentry, measure twice, cut once. She made tons of errors, over 10…..and everyone covered up, she admitted it. But that does not escape the fact she continued without proper reeducation on meds and med administration. I left nursing because I saw poor nursing in new young book smart but clinically poor nurses that could not transfer knowledge to clinical, and rushed through and I was not going to work with them, period. Like many of us oldy nurses, we left the profession rather than be forced to supervise or work alongside such risk takers. Have never regretted it. My license was secure. I took it seriously. 6 rights, 3 checks. Never fail following protocol, no one interfering when pulling meds. And I took no one’s word for anything, double checked records myself. Go find the seminar by an attorney Keris, PA authority, warning fatigue, he showed all her errors….inc some we have not seen or heard about in the news. All I can say is wow….she was so unsafe a nurse there is no way she should ever be allowed to practice.
