I was going to send this to a nursing buddy of mine, but read further and saw it is not a nurse position, but a nursing asst. position. I have nothing against CNAs, but I just do not like the job title they have bestowed.

Isn't "nurse" a protected title?

I read the ad and this position is a nurse position. The applicant must be an LPN. I'm not sure why they added the part about preforming CNA duties. Maybe they've had previous applicants/employees that mistakenly thought that patient care wasn't part of the job description.

Specializes in Critical Care, ED, Cath lab, CTPAC,Trauma.
looks like somebody got the message-- this is what i found when i went to the link:

job requirements

as the wellness nurse at fenwick island, the following is required:

education/training: graduate of an approved school of nursing; current state license to practice as a licensed practical nurse.

experience: a minimum of one year’s experience in related nursing position is preferred.

maybe it was just an error when the it guy made the post on the website.

ha! it really did change.....

it really bugged me......so i reported them to monster, the companies headquarters and the delaware bon. i sent the bon the job by e-mail. it probably has nothing to do with me but, who says you can't affect change......:smokin:

Specializes in LTC/Rehab.

It sounds like an LPN job to me. If I am correct, there are times when even nurses must perform the duties of a CNA when required.

The job app online has changed since yesterday's post.

The job posting has been changed since the OP first posted the link -- it was originally titled "Wellness Nurse," but the specifics requirements originally said that the person needed to be a CNA, not an LPN. That was the original concern.
