"waiting list" questions

So...I got good news and bad news, I wasn't initially accepted to the school I applied to. BUT I was told by the office that not only am I on the waiting list, I am first on the list!! They told me that I could be called anytime between now and the first week of school in January, but that if I am not called, the list does not roll over. Obviously every year is different, but I have no idea what to expect as far as my chances go for being called. Is anyone else on the waiting list? What were you told by your school? I just feel sort of in limbo still since I have to try and move forward, scheduling classes, but I can't stop thinking that I might somehow still get in! If I didn't get in, I think it would be horrible to know that I was THAT close and didn't make it. If anyone has any information or inspiration I'd really appreciate it!! :selfbonk:

I was on a waiting list for LVN school many moons ago and got in. Bad news was that I only had about a week and a half to move (it was out of town). Pretty sure someone always drops, I bet you will get in. Be prepared! Good Luck!

I think your chances are excellent, and I would start preparing as if you were going...get your financial aid in order, make sure there isn't anything stopping you from showing up on your first day smiling!

Get prepared, as if you were accepted!!!!! If you do not get in, which I believe you have a great chance, you are ostensibly a good candiate and mostly will get accepted nextgo around. YOU WILL BE ACCEPTED THIS GO ROUND!!!!!!!!! GET READY!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the others, be ready! Someone will either drop of be dropped!

Over 10 people were dropped from my class and it does not start until January! A few people declined, but the rest did not return his/her letters of intent on time. Everyone on the Alternates' list at my school is accepted! Good luck.
