Is anyone watching "One Born Every Minute" on Lifetime? It was taped at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. I work there (not L&D) and I love to see the exposure. Even if you don't work at Riverside, what a great opportunity for Central Ohio. It is on Tuesday nights. Check it out!

Hi! I'm so happy to see that you're interested in One Born Every Minute.. I work for Lifetime so I would love to hear what you think of the series, have you seen all the new episodes? How cool is it to see your hospital featured? I can't wait for your feedback!

Pretty cool seeing your own facility featured. Work in OhioHealth, so it is still pretty cool to hear about it!

I was there each week during both tapings. I also have 16 yrs of L&D experience at another hospital. The shows are definitely "Hollywooded-up" to make the births seem very dramatic and dangerous, but in reality most of the things that are shown are everyday occurrences and not life threatening. Some friends of mine had their birth taped but not shown, said they didn't make the cut because they were told that their birth was "too boring." And they never got their DVD either.

So, take these shows with a grain of salt. They're edited to make it look like the nurses are a bunch of wild women and the deliveries are very dangerous. Neither is true. But it has been fun to see the many nurses and doctors who I know! :D
