Would any of these be helpful for an LPN program? Also, how old an edition is ok? Thanks :)

My daughter used some of these in her LVN program and liked them.

The "Made Easy" series is an excellent confidence booster. It helps the student learn how to answer priority questions and look for the most common sense approach. However, you should purchase Saunders to really test yourself. I use Saunders 3rd Edition NCLEX-PN as a companion study guide to my general Med/Surg book and it has helped tremendously. After you've learned all the important nursing interventions (Saunders) you can skim over the "fluff" provided in Med/Surg books.

Hi bluecalmsea,
I just received my acceptance email last night for an LPN program starting in September, but had recently purchased a secondhand "Nursing Student Success Made Incredibly Easy" and have a few others I would like to get. The one I have is quite interesting and has good tips, but I have also heard the "Fluids and Electrolytes Made Incredibly Easy" is also really good. There are often several versions, so I will be buying the newest one or the previous one and will buy secondhand if I can, which I usually do on Amazon. I like to buy as new as I can in case something has been changed since the previous version, but really much of the same info will be included in our texts, though I won't have those until Sept. Anyhow, good luck to you :)
