Hi,
I am currently trying to find a new job within the system. Problem is, barely any new jobs posted on the UPMC website. Does anyone know of other places to find these postings? One person told me that she found one in a newspaper that was not posted on the site. Is this common? Any idea why they don't put everything online?

Not sure - our jobs are usually posted in paper and online simultaneously. All jobs advertised in the paper have to be applied for via the online system anyhow, so I imagine they are online.

Plus the only way to apply for their jobs is online on their website. Even the jobs posted in the paper have a job ID# to reference on the website.

I did see a lot of UPMC jobs listed on indeed.com
They do tend to be on the website, but not always in the correct place. For example, if you are looking for full-time, it would seem logical to specify that in your search. However, some FT positions have been listed under PT. I've learned to no longer specify anything when I search, just see what comes up.

Yea, I've definitely seen this happen too. Depends on the type of work you're looking for. I've opted to contact the Nurse recruiter for nursing assistant/pct/rn positions, and its worked out well in that sense. they will tell you the job id number to apply, etc.
