This thread is to feel out about how many people have been victimized, or know someone who has been victimized by GROUP 1's actions.
I found a lawyer who has a personal interest in going after them.
The biggest problem I have is the information that is submitted by management. .
HR submits our information to GroupOne. And the only thing our hospital submits is the reason for leaving; they don't provide details. HR has a list of reasons to choose from such as "violation of established policy & procedure", "voluntary termination-family reason", "involuntary termination", etc.
It seems it (GroupOne) would be a great tool because all the background information is found in one place. It's a shame that some employers have chosen to abuse it.
I am listed in GROUP ONE as "ABANDONED POSITION".................................., simply for missing a PRN SHIFT.HR submits our information to GroupOne. The whole operation needs to be STOPPED.
I don't know much about Group One. However, California hospitals do use background checks. In California, however, you are allowed to receive a copy of the information that is obtained on you and to dispute it if the information appears incorrect. At my current employer, my background check brought up something that I had taken care of years ago. It should not have appeared on the report. I was able to get it resolved and removed. I was thankful that the employer shared the information with my and that it was my right to get that information. Not fixing that issue could have caused problems later on when trying to obtain my nursing license when I finish nursing school in a year.
Can you elaborate more regarding what you know about how the "information" on employees is processed between HR and Group 1, Thanks in advance.HR submits our information to GroupOne. Group One is nothing but glorified McCarthyism, a throwback to an era where lives and careers were ruined at the whim of one man...until Edward R. Murrow stepped in and put HIM out of business. The same thing needs to happen to these folks.
