Kind of an offshoot of the "good ol days" thread. Using your imagination and seeing how technology has come these days, how do you thing nursing/ medical field will be in 30 years from now? When we can look back and say, remember when? ( cant say that now, but I love the stories!)

We do that now and the doc's even have the capability to do it from their office. No more excuses, lol

And then there's the lazy docs.

Yesterday one of the nephrologists called me about a patient. On my "office phone" I can see exactly where the call was generated from. He was calling from the doc's dictation/computer station, meaning he was in-house, and sitting in front of a hospital computer.

He would rather call me to enter the orders, than do it himself.

The stuff with the robots is kind of sad. Can you imagine all those LOL's and LOM's who don't have family or friends to visit? No human contact at all???
