"A" is for Anatomy!!

Published

I just got my grades today and while I got an A in all of my classes, I was really just waiting to see what my Anatomy grade was going to be which was an A. I really had no idea what to do when I saw it lol. I had given myself a limit of getting a B+ in that class before the semester started and I got a little discouraged when I failed the first test with a 64 because you know those "wonderful" classmates who are all "if you can't handle anatomy, how can you handle nursing" So I worked my butt off the rest of the semester studying/memorizing/taking pictures and didn't get anything below a 90 on the next four tests. I had an A- before the final and thought I'd actually stay at that grade because I wasn't confident that I did that well on the final since it was a little difficult but I must have done good enough.

I'm thrilled I kept a 4.0 for the semester but honestly even if I hadn't, getting an A in anatomy would have been good enough for me. :yeah:

My experience was the same as yours. I got 100s on all the lab tests. I didn't do as well in the lecture portions. I'm a little bit more worried about Physiology since there must be less rote memorization. I also have to take a different prof for Physio than I did for Anat. I loved my Anat prof, and I'm bummed he doesn't teach any other class.

Well, you showed them, didn't you. Keep up the hard work, and you'll do great in NS.

Awesome job everyone!! :yeah: A is for Anatomy indeed! I managed to get a 4.0 in all my classes - Anatomy, Organic & Biochem. for Nurses and a 200 level (felt like 300 level) Soc. class and a stupid (required) Phys. Ed. class. I'm so excited!!!! I'm applying to Nursing School this semester and I'm pretty sure I have 100% chance of getting in!!! It feels so good when all of our hard work pays off doesn't it? We can do it! Nursing school here I come! :D:nurse:

I'm on the same boat as you. I'm kinda nervous because the Physio professor I have doesn't really have the best review from some of her students. Also my physiology class doesn't have a lab attached to it so it's going to be all lecture which doesn't sound great.
