I was working as a first time CNA at a facility doing NOC shift for two months and it was really affecting my grades so I applied at another facility. Well They offered me a job but said I should put in my notice so the hours don't crash as I was going to work mornings. I put in my notice and waited for them to call me to start my orientation. My last day to the NOC shift facility came and went and I thought cool I'll have a week to chill with my kids and catch up on school work. I received a phone call today that they are revoking the job offer because it has been two weeks and they have not received info from my fingerprints. I called social services after to see what was happening and they said the FBI sent a email saying there is a delay and the state is still processing and the child abuse center is still processing. Why is this taking so long. I have never been arrested. I have had a couple of driving tickets and parking tickets but I searched the warrant website in case I forgot to pay something and it came up clear. What's the hold up??? How long is this gonna take??? Does that mean I cannot work anywhere now that there is a hold up with my fingerprints? Man I should've waited to quit.

Personally, I would have not quit the other job unless I knew the new facility had received everything they needed to schedule me for orientation. Sorry this happened to you. Maybe you should contact HR at the new job and see if you can work something out.

I as well am sorry ths happened to you, but finger printing can be a bugger. I went through it 2 times when we were gong for adoption. Somtimes you want certain paperwork and things to get through to proceed to the next step and fingerprinting can blow your time table. It might not even have to do with your fingerprints, but the places they get processed can maybe be behind and then there is a delay for everyone waiting. like the prevous posters idea of talking to them and asking if they will give you a little more time. After all it isn't because you have done anything personally to delay what is going on it is just what is happening right now. Big Hugs and I hope things can work out for you.
