I submitted my Quinnipiac's ABSN application for Fall 2019 and wanted to create a thread to talk to others that have also applied.

Hi! So I recently got into Quinnipiac and I'm going! I have a few questions. I'm from LI so I will be dorming there. What is that situation like? Are there dorms by the nursing school? Can I have a car on campus? And what has the academic calendar been? Do you go throughout the entire year? Thank you!

I live at home hun I have no idea about the living arrangements there. I commute 45mins everyday lol. Yes you can have your car that’s not a problem. The year goes from August to August exactly 12 months we will end the last day in August. I’m not sure if accelerated students have dorm options you would have to ask the school directly. Sorry I wasn’t much help with that part.

Hi, there is about a 99% chance ill be attending this program in the fall. I was just wondering how demanding the course load is? Did you feel like you had any free time or did you spend most of the day in class/practical/studying? I hear accelerated programs are pretty intense and would love to know from your perspective.

Hi all!

I was wondering if any of you who have gotten accepted would mind divulging if QU gave out any merit based scholarships towards this program. I am considering applying, but am concerned about taking out additional student loans for this degree (I have quite a debt pile few from my first bachelor's degree). I have a friend whose currently in the program who said that if you're among the lucky few accepted, Quinnipiac WILL find a way to help you afford it (through scholarships, merit awards, etc.). Just curious if there was any truth to this!

Hi

Did anyone on here get accepted while still finishing up undergrad degree? I’ll have one more class to complete in the summer before getting my diploma but I’m looking to start the program right after I graduate.
Also what is the average amount of financial aid that you guys got? I’m applying to UCONN’s program as well. Thanks I’m advance and congrats again
