Quinnipiac University ABSN Fall 2019

Published

I submitted my Quinnipiac's ABSN application for Fall 2019 and wanted to create a thread to talk to others that have also applied.

Does everyone’s application status say in review? Mine just says my Check list is complete.

Hi everyone,

I also recently got my acceptance letter! QU is one of my top schools so it's very possible I'll be going here. Anyone have any tips about finding affordable student housing?

I'm currently in the program, if anyone has any questions, feel free to let me know ?

Hi, I just got my acceptance letter for Fall 2019. My questions are: what are the best housing options for being close to campus and semi-close to clinicals? What hospitals are the clinicals completed at? And how much of the classes are online vs. in person?

Thank you! ?

Co grays but on your acceptance ! I live/commute from home so I don’t know the housing options. Clinicals are all over, Hartford hospital, Bristol, St Marys, Middlesex etc. In regards to classes all of our classes are in person so far but we do have a Hybrid class that starts next week after spring break.

Hi, I just got accepted few days ago and have a question to people who already in a program. How do/did you pay for school? I’ve applied for a fafsa but didn’t get an answer yet. Did you have to take a huge student loan? Also, is there’s big expenses on a top of just classes?

thank you

Hi Herbera,

Are you going to be living at home or renting an apartment? It seems to me that housing is the other major cost involved in attending QU; off campus student housing is not as cheap as I've seen it at other schools. I know we also have to pay for our scrubs and lab fees. I'm probably going to be taking out private loans to pay for a lot of it.

Congrats on your acceptance!! I received a good amount of grant and a small loan from the school. The balance is being paid for out of pocket. Others have taken out loans to cover the rest. Outside of classes is the typical stuff for me gas, uniform for clinical, books (which can be pricey ), etc. I live at home so didn’t get housing close to campus.
