Hi all! Over the past year I have been taking several pre-requisite courses at Quincy College with the intent of enrolling in an accelerated nursing program (I already have a first bachelors degree) at another institution. Lately however, I've been re-thinking some of my options, and am considering applying to Quincy's RN program for an associates degree, then moving on to complete my bachelors degree. Mainly I am re-thinking my initial track due to the stress of working full time, completing classes, and attempting to maintain everyday responsibilities. Additionally, in order to make the application deadline for the accelerated programs I would have to complete two more courses (most likely at an accelerated pace), and still take the TEAS exam. At this point, I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations or insight into Quincy's nursing program. I am in very good academic standing, and would only be required to complete one more prerequisite for the program (A&P 2), along with the TEAS exam. Also, if anyone has any idea as to what the application deadlines are for both options, full time beginning in the fall and part time beginning in the spring, it would be much appreciated! I look forward to hearing from you all, and hopefully getting through this crazy time together!

Stay away! I have been at Quincy college for three years and am about to graduate the Rn full time program. It is overpriced in my opinion considering most of the lab equipment is shared or broken. And their pass rate for the NCLEX is sooo low (58%)the state is snooping around , they are currently on warning and might loose their approval. This school is a joke. Clinical placements suck most will be at a long term care facility, you might as well for a bachelors.

It's actually a good program. They are in warning but I think what people dont realize is that Laboure which is supposed to be so top notch is also only at a 59% pass rate and have been doing way worse than quincy for a long time and are still open if you look at the statistics on mass.gov. People are high maintenance its a community college and people want their clinicals at MGH and BI,the sites are fine and the teachers are good the issues are coming from the higher ups. But I would hold off until may 9th when they decide their fate. :) I think falls deadline is mid summer, they have it open pretty late.

Hate to be the bearer of the bad news but the state is ending Quincy College's Nursing Program at the end of this semester
I was planning on applying but was unsure due to their low exam rates and being on probation.
" The state Board of Registration in Nursing voted Wednesday to withdraw approval of Quincy College's nursing programs, effectively shutting them down at the end of the academic year.
Students who are graduating this summer will be able to take their license exams. Other students will have to transfer to other schools or try to wait for the college to receives state approval again in order to do so.
Without the school having state approval, a nursing program's graduates cannot take the national licensure tests needed to become a nurse."

Curry College's Accelerated Program is accepting applications until 06/01.
They don't need TEAS exam scores and I believe you can apply with 2 classes not completed.
Good luck in your search!
