I just took my NCLEX on the 16th, and on the 18th I got online, paid the $7.95 to get my unofficial quick results, which said I passed. Today, I got a letter in the mail from the Missouri State Board of Nursing saying 'this letter is to notify you that the release of your exam results will be delayed,' then lists the possible reasons as: Photograph missing or unclear, signature, proper identification, other. I'm positive that I sent a notarized, signed, photograph and displayed my driver's license, fingerprint, palmprint, etc., so I'm wondering what the 'other' category may be. Has anyone else gotten this letter, and if so, what does it mean? Are they going to fail me? Do I have to take my test again?! Any help appreciated.
sidenote: I only got 78 questions and was done in about 40 minutes. Does this have anything to do with it?

I'm optimistic that you are just fine :) Probably just a problem with their mailing notification system ! You already know that you passed, so relax.............
The number of questions has nothing to do with it, no you shouldn't have to retest, the quick results already told you that you passed :) Now, go find a job !!

supposedly i read somewhere else on this forum that those whose NCLEX cut off under 60 minutes get their notification delayed because it "look suspicious" that they finished early ... but no worries it just means you're really competent and know what you're doing!
CONGRATULATIONS!
Thanks so much for your responses everyone. I honestly don't know why they sent that letter because later that week they sent me my official results saying that I passed! So much for a delay. Anyway that's one less thing to worry about. Now about finding a job....
