how do you like Stanford so far? i'm in my first travel assignment here in Modesto and it's not as I thought it'd be ... im stressed and not really enjoying ... i feel like im starting nursing all over again because this is paper charting so i'm behind a lot. I also feel like an outsider. the people are nice but i feel like a burden b/c i'm always asking questions and need help. it's just my third week and i know with this experience it will make me a stronger nurse ... but idk, just need some people to share stories and hoping it's not always like this!

update - i just drove my car! it was a nice drive, recommend having a friend with you and stopping over with friends/family along the way. i think i maybe spent $500 one way with gas and hotel, took me a week cuz i stopped over a day or two at 2 places

how was it to look for housing on craigslist? i'm a little bit weary b/c you never really know what/who you're dealing with via internet. any tips on how to find a good safe place to rent while traveling on craigslist?

when do you believe is weather actually nice in alaska? i plan travel nursing up there for a 13 wk contract, but i hate extreme weather! like winter or summer, how is spring or fall? i would love to see the aurora borealis!

Ah correct sorry, yeah starting my first travel assignment. I've been working away from home so i'm familiar with dealing with things on my own, this is a big leap for me though. Are there any shipping companies you'd recommend? Or just best to drive ... it's like a 4 day drive though ughh

im taking an assignment in december in modesto for about 1500/wk with full stipend. what should i do regarding car insurarance, my parents said mine will most likely jump to 3000 im currently with geico also, have you heard of any really good shipping companies that ship cross country? im going to be paid max $500 travel reimbursement so not sure if it's best to drive or ship it (hate driving it will be like 4 days!)
