I applied for a job once with very similar wording as it turned out to be a personal scrub for an orthopod. That was NOT what I wanted. Ortho cases are too long and too heavy for this old gal.
The best bet would be to call and ask. Personally I like my patients to all be ortho. Some days however, it seemed I only got med surg...and I was the only ortho certified nurse on the floor.

I know this is probably a dumb question but I appreciate any answers. I was looking at local internships and I saw a position titled RN-Orthopedic/Surgical. Does this mean OR nursing? Or just bedside nursing patients who have just come out of surgery (in other words do you get to be in the or)? It doesn't give a description. Thanks for the answer.
