Hi :] this is my first post and I'm not quite sure if I'm posting it in the right place , but anyways... I got my cna a couple of months ago and know it will expire if I do not get employeed within the first two years. I got hired at two assisted living centers this week... (sunrise and vintage simi hills). but as a CAREGIVER. Does that count towards keeping my certificate????
Answers are very much appreciated

I am certain you would need employment as a CNA to count toward keeping your CNA certificate. If you did not have to present your CNA certificate during the hiring process and they do not have a record of it at your job, you are not accomplishing that. To make certain one way or the other, speak to the employer to get this out in the open. Two or three days before your certificate expires is not the time to be dealing with this. Good luck.

You will need to ask your employer, as they would be the ones reporting it to the registry.
