Hello, I wanted to ask anyone in Florida or that has knowledge of the BSN programs out that way on admission criteria. I live in California and will be moving to Florida in hopes of getting into a program.
Here is a little Info in myself, I am a registered Respiratory Therapist, have an AA and AS degree and have all my pre reqs done minus Stats which i will be taking this semester. My GPA isn't that great, being a cumulative 3.03 and a pre-professional (pre req GPA) for a 3.0 as well. I am hoping that having 3 years experience in the Health Care field (ICU/ER etc) will help my chances but was wondering if they will even look at that and take it into considerations. Also my GPA took a big hit my first 3 semesters in college but has noticeably upward trend the last 3/4 years. I know some Colleges out here look at trend as well, but not sure about Florida School.
I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience of knowledge of my chances at the Colleges I listed?
Thanks in advance!!

Florida is a big state, you didn't say which area you are moving to nor which colleges you are applying to.
You are right, i will repost with the correct Info. Thanks!

My first option is UF then Nova.

I'm not sure about all the schools you mentioned, but a 3.0 is low for some (UF, UCF, UNF) from what I know, their admitted average is closer to a 3.7. If you really want this, I would recommend retaking a few classes. Replacing a couple C's with a couple A's could really help you out. I would definitely look at Nova, it's less competitive because it is so expensive. If you retook some classes, especially the pre reqs, you could probably get in somewhere.
