163 questions?

Published

just took the NCLEX for the third time about three hours ago. The computer shut down at 163 questions! Is that a good or bad sign? Curious to see how many questions people had with passing!

I've taken the exam with 265 questions twice before.

Thanks!

Yeah I just passed a couple days ago and my test was probably 80% priority (which med/patient first?) It really doesn't matter how many questions you get...I got 75 and passed and my other friends got 175 and 265 and both passed! I think you should get the guts to do PVT :p

I have a hard time prioritizing medications -- do you have any strategies for that? I had a question once with 2 IV antibiotics, heparin, and some po med...I had no idea which would be a priority. I picked the antibiotic that took the longest to infuse because it would set back everything else...

Thanks!

Congrats! How did you prepare?

thank you :) The first two times around, I did Kaplan and studied my notes from nursing school; this did give me a good foundation and basis to the majority of questions. However, this apparently didn't give me enough confidence in answering NCLEX questions at the time of the exam!

I then discovered the review program called "Ready to Pass", this review course was phenomenal. Not only did they have awesome tricks and tips for the exam but they gave you a great book to basically memorize and pass the exam! I strongly suggest Ready to Pass! They have online classes and travel from Long Island to various hotels in the South as well!

Best of luck to you!
