  1. thanks for the helpful post! I'm a little confused with the versant new grad program as a whole though, do they hire you just for those 22 weeks and then you go elsewhere to find a job (so basically the program gives you a one up when applying for jobs) or must you be hired as a future employee of the hospital in which the versant program takes place? thanks in advance!
  2. thank you :) The first two times around, I did Kaplan and studied my notes from nursing school; this did give me a good foundation and basis to the majority of questions. However, this apparently didn't give me enough confidence in answering NCLEX questions at the time of the exam! I then discovered the review program called "Ready to Pass", this review course was phenomenal. Not only did they have awesome tricks and tips for the exam but they gave you a great book to basically memorize and pass the exam! I strongly suggest Ready to Pass! They have online classes and travel from Long Island to various hotels in the South as well! Best of luck to you! Denise, RN
  3. i passed!!! i never mustered up the confidence to do the trick, but i paid the 8 dollars and passed! i can't believe it! third try and i FINALLY DID IT! i'm a RN :)
  4. yea i had ABOUT 6/7 SATA questions and A LOT of priority questions, i'd say for the most part i had which med would you give first, which patient would you assess first! does that help? thankss!! ahhh i'm sitting here with anxiety, i don't have the nerve to actually do the PVTrick bc i've didn't get the pop up the last two times!
  5. just took the NCLEX for the third time about three hours ago. The computer shut down at 163 questions! Is that a good or bad sign? Curious to see how many questions people had with passing! I've taken the exam with 265 questions twice before. Thanks!
  6. Just got my quick results back from pearson vue today (half hour ago) that I have failed and I really do not know what else to do. I do know that I don't want to pick up another NCLEX book for a very long time. I have given my life up to studying for this test, I honestly don't know what more to do! I've done ATI questions, Kaplan Review course (twice) including the question trainers and qbanks. I've studied saunders EVERYTHING and i failed twice!! I have been a honor roll student and deans list student all my life. Graduated nursing school with a decent GPA, I honestly don't know what more to do to pass this exam. I feel so dumb, and embarrassed. I graduated all the way back in August 2010 and want to start working as an RN already!! I can't take the anxiety that this test has given to me and my life, good riddance NCLEX. Anyone else in the same situation? I feel so alone in this process, i'm at a loss of what to do.
  7. ligrl7, I'm sorry I don't have any information on the residency program first hand, but I do have a question on getting hired at NYU Med Center. How much did they really focus on your GPA? On their website they said they want 3.5 or above but I've spoken to nurse's who work there that said they didn't have that. Just want a recent grads point of view! Thanks!
