i think you made a wise choice! not to be rude or negative but to me it seemed like you only want money in a shorter period of time than a doctor. anyway im glad you changed your mind, but if you really want the money, just go to school and be a doctor. you won't have to really be so worried about cleaning up after people, you'll make more than $22/hr and you won't have to take doctors looking down on you because your a nurse. and one more thing, whatever you choose in life there is always going to be someone NEGATIVE thats gonna look down on you. so don't go into a career because you "think" no one will look down on you. Good Luck! Again please forgive me if you think this was mean.

Guess what?

Where I work, if a doctor finds a patient laying in poop when they do their exam, they clean them up. They don't call us to do it. :D

That's how it should be everywhere. After all don't we go into this profession to take care of peope?

We actually saw a doctor-a surgeon not less-put a patient on a commode.

When everyone got over the shock, one of the nurses asked him just why would he do that.

He just shrugged and said that the patient needed help then, he new the nurses and NAs were busy, do he did what needed to be done.

This is my very favorite doctore in the world.

My hourly is $37.50, night differential $4.00, charge $1.00. Total 42,50 when in charge. I get 100/month for CCRN. That is my 24 hour per week committment with excellent benefites including defined retirement plan and education paid for. This is a contract with the CNA.

I work in critical care. We all clean up and bath patients PRN. Sometimes very often. No problem to me. I will clean up an incontinent patient in exchange for someone checking the temperature of refrigerators etcetera. We have one male RN who dislikes bathing female patients. Fine, he starts IVs and helps us lift. I work with a good group.
