Questions for Suzanne4 - URGENT

Published

Dear Suzanne,

My Packet 3 reached US Consulate and they informed me to contact them on 2nd week of Oct for Visa Interview date. (US Consulate also give us PCC request paper and DS230 Part II form)

I would like to if there is Retrogression cutt off. Is it effect our interview or not.

My I140, DS230 (NVC) is already approved. Only pending is visa interview.

Please advise

L George

No date has been posted. You may just be able to squeeze in. They visas are expected to run out in October, but no official date has been given.....and will not be until the last moment when they are actually gone.

i think DOS would anounce the cut-off date one month before the acctual cut-off date. chances can be the date could be in November, however, they should announce the date in October. that is just what i think.;)

They do not give advance notice, they will just notify when they are gone.

Lets expect retrogression announcement on

october 10th visa bullettin.Even if DOS

say it as " as early as" its not the early

point.Its due! Time is due!!!

13000 countdown from July 1st 2006.

http://www.usworkvisa.com/updates/article.php?ID=240

10,250 as on August 1st 2006.

7500 as on September 1st 2006.

4750 as on October 1st 2006.

2000 as on November 1st 2006.

Since the projected remaining number for

November 1st 2006, is far less than the

required average of 2750,

DOS would publish cutoff dates/retrogression

for schedule A on October 10th, that is the

November bullettin.

god bless

HI Sarahluo:

if as what you predicted, there is a cut-off date on Oct. bulletin which states visa is not available for Nov., does it mean that we can still have our interview on Oct. and get visas bacause Oct. Schedule A show current?

mine is on the edge of the cut off, I wish they just postpone one more month to let me have my interview.

thanks very much!

Specializes in awaiting for Schedule A visa...

you could be the lucky 50,000th applicant!

better before that, too risky!

What you are not understanding, the bulletin is only an advisory, it is not written in stone. It states what is anticipated but with the last rush in place, they will probably be gone before.

Same thing happened with the last retrogression, if you take the time to look.

It has nothing to do with what is current, it is when the last actual visa number is assigned. And you are also not taking into account the family members that are included.

Same way that what is posted as the current date for the Visa Centers is not written in stone.

Specializes in awaiting for Schedule A visa...

from what I know, INS may exceed 50,000 visas that's why they have to set a cut-off date.....it is not always up to the dot.
