Questions about Seton Versant RN Residency in Austin

Has anybody received any interview offers yet?

The 8th/9th floors has given me a call, IMC will be interviewing as well on the 15th for UMCB. and Scott and White has started to call people as well!

Aside from those, has anyone heard back from the OR?

No word from Seton OR yet. I was told, though, that the questionnaires are being sent out in a staggered pattern and the due dates will be different so that the OR team does not receive all of the questionnaires at once. This leads me to believe that *maybe* they are waiting until the app deadline to start reviewing applicants (???)

Well, I just heard from the recruiter at UMCB that I will not be interviewing for the ICU (that's why I haven't heard anything about next week) but he is confident I will be interviewing for an acute care position. I am also scheduled for an ER interview with Scott and White on Tuesday morning. I have some big decisions to make as I just interviewed yesterday for a cardiac ICU position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Dallas. I am bummed about no critical care at UMCB but I guess I need to count my blessings for having options.

Anyone else heard anything?

What about IMC at Brack? I didn't get selected for ICU either but the recruiter told me I should apply for IMC. I am from D/FW and the ICU experience at any of the 3 level 1 trauma centers would be great! I was offered a MICU position at Parkland but turned it down due to the 3 year contract and just wanting to get out of D/FW.

I will be interviewing for OR at S&W and I'm so excited!

I think I am getting on his nerves but at this point I just want to know so I can make a decision if I get an offer somewhere else.

I doubt you are getting on his nerves... especially since contacting him at least once/week is a requirement for being interviewed. The new ICU nurse at the open house said that she emailed him about 3 times/week.
