Can you do your prereqs for nursing online? Like get an Associates of Science online? Is it credible? Will it affect the chances of getting into a nursing school?
Are there "regular" colleges that offer online programs like that, so the degree wouldn't be known as an online degree?
If so, can anyone recommend any colleges or programs?
Thanks!

Check with your local community college that has a nursing program.
The community college I am attending offers all pre-reqs online.
Online classes aren't for everyone, they require a lot of dedication and sometimes more work than a regular class.

I am in Colorado and taking mine through ccconline.org. 13 or so community colleges around the state have come together to provide classes online. They offer many classes that are considered State Transfer classes and will be accepted at State Universities. You register with one of the home colleges and your transcripts, payments, etc go through them. The online classes do not show up as online, but rather coming from the home college itself.
I have taken all my pre-reqs online. I will be graduating with my AS this spring. I need 1 extra class to graduate that the University does not require for their BSN program. I don't need this class for transferring, but I figured I would still like the AS, so I am taking it anyway (its communications).
In an info session at the University, the Director of the Nursing program said that online classes were accepted. They did studies and showed that those who do online learn just as much as those who are in regular classes. The University has been doing distance learning and online learning type classes for 30 years themselves.
I can't tell you how much I love the online classes. I am done all my sciences and just finishing up the maths and social sciences now. Online has allowed me to be home with my kids who school at home too and save tons of gas and time just in commuting to and from campus. But, just like itsmejuli said, it does require dedication and if you aren't self motivated, then it may not be for you. Start with looking around your state and then if you can't find anything, I highly recommend ccconline
Good Luck!!!

All states are different, even within the same state the nursing pre-req classes may vary between colleges and universities. Check with other colleges and universities in your state to find the pre-reqs you need for the specific college or university you are interested in pursuing your nursing program at.
You could ask your academic adviser about which colleges offer the classes you need online. This is what I'd do.
