265 questions on nclex bad or good?

i got approz 25 SATA and 3 dosage too! i felt like i got a bunch of pharm and infection control! so i really hope that doesn't mean anything bad... still waiting on transcripts! ughhh...

Okay, so here is my story. I am a 2nd attempter at the NCLEX. The first time I took it I got 75 and failed. I took it for the 2nd time today and had 265. I actually felt better this time around. I got between 20 and 30 SATA, 8 to 10 math, a number of priority, who you see first and a number of drugs. I was looking in NCLEX books and they say that you want to have mostly application and analysis questions. Well Math, SATA, priority and drugs fall under these 2 topics. I am hoping that this is a good sign. I too was told at the testing site that it is possible to be selected as one taking 265 questions even if you are doing well, so who knows. Guess I will found out on Wednesday. I am praying a pass, they pay PCA's crappy money for what they have to do.

hi guys. i just wanted to share my case. Me and my friend took the nclex exam last april 24. we both had 265 questions and we're both very tired and down because we felt we had the most difficult exam of our lives and failed. we have no quick results so we have to wait for a month. we both tried the pearsonvue trick out of curiosity. and to my horror, only him got the pop-up window and i was allowed to the cc page.. they say that the latter may confirm that you failed the exam.. so now im so down and worried. im still looking for other testimonies that disapproves that trick. does anyone know of someone who was allowed to the cc page but passed the exam? help me pls to ease my anxiety.. tnx

I passed the NCLEX almost one month ago on my 2nd try - with 265 questions - and today I got hired at The Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC in their OR Nurse Residency Program. It's been a whole crazy ride of up and downs since I failed that first NCLEX but now I can FINALLY begin my career. Good luck to everybody...definitely re-take the exam as soon as you can if you fail the first time...don't lose hope.

Hi Kei35, I am extremely interested in the OR Residency program at HSS. I have applied, and I meet with the panel really soon. I was wondering if you enjoyed the program, and if you thought it prepared you to be an OR nurse. Also, do you have any advice or suggestions about the panel?? I know I want to be an OR nurse, so any information you could share would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

hi anygiventhursdays! i took my nclex-rn exam a couple of days ago(may5), had 254q's and im in cali...i also did try the pearson trick u wer saying and it let me pass through the payment method,ughh!:icon_roll it's less than 48hrs since i took the exam, as i read on the thread about the trick most of them or should i say all of those who got blocked or something pop up and passed officially later on when they got their mails...so well i guess for that i failed and it sucksss!!!! tho i still keeping my fingers cross until i got my official letter from the brn...and yeah it makes me think to re-register again soon and not wait 45days.... :sniff:

I took the NCLEX for the first time on April 20th, 2009 and was given all 265 questions-and I passed. Good luck, try not to think about it if possible, and rememeber-you made it through school, this is just the next step. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Hi, my name is Andrea. I just took my test today for the 2nd time. and I felt HORRIBLE after the exam. I did not know how to feel..it was a relief that it was out of the way and i got it over with but at the same time it was and it still is very overwhelming. I did 265 question again, like the first time. but i had more SATA(10), MATH about (3-5), prioritization and general question, pharmacology.. right now it's killing me to wait for my exam grades..i just want to call them and ask for my grade.. i hope i did better than the last time.. i dont wnna go through it again.. :sniff:

Hey I had the exact same thing as you! I wrote today, I had tons of SATA and Math questions !!! I heard SATA mean your doing well on the exam and then math questions mean your doing bad! I had tons of infection control to with prioritization! I studied like crazy and everything I studied was not asked, this was my second time taking it! Good luck finding out

this is my second time taking it too, i studied like crazy as well...well iheard the other thign around that if oyu're doing math you're doing welll..i dont knw what to believe now..lol..nweiz, when did u take ur exam?yeah, this was my second time doing it as well..and it sucks..i just hope i did better than last time..and i hope i pass..

I am so nervous! I took my exam yesterday and I got 232 questions before shutting off. Man o man. I think they should make the test 265 questions for everyone!
