Hi i am an 11th grader doing a career research project for my class. Part of the project is having an interview with someone in the career that you want to do and i am interesting in becoming a LVN. If you can just answer all the questions below and help me with my project i would really appreciate it. More than one person answering would be helpful too.
1. How long have you been working in your profession?
2, What are your job responsibilities?
3. What skills are needed for your job? What skills did you have to help you?
4. What is your work environment like?
5. Is there a possibility for advancement in your career? Would advancement require additional education or training?
6. Can you describe a typical day on the job?
7. What types of high school experiences did you have that may have helped with your chosen career?
8. How has your education prepared you for your job? After high school what education route did you take?
9. What advice would you give me to help me prepare for this job?
10. What is your work environment? Where do you work?
11. What are your work conditions? Is it stressful, rewarding. etc.?
Thank you for your time.

I'm sure your teacher wants you to interview someone in person, not over the internet.
Even though this site is called AllNurses, it is a public site & anyone can sign up. You don't know who you are talking to & if they are really nurses.
You should try calling a nursing home, doctor's office, hospital, public health clinic & asking to speak to an LVN in person.
Yes I am aware but I have issues with transportation because of some reasons so I am trying to see if I can do an in person interview anytime soon but I wanted to make this post and see if I will get any extra help

Then do a phone interview. It's a lot of work for a member to type out responses to your detailed questions.
You might get a better response calling and asking to schedule a phone interview for a school project. Good luck

Wow, those are A LOT of very detailed questions! I agree with those who posted already; call a medical practice, nursing home, any place you think an LPN/LVN would be employed, and ask if you can have a phone chat. Most nurses would be happy to help you, and I'm sure would answer your questions easily, in a phone conversation when they have the time.
I'm not an LPN, but was just coming in to see your project :)
Good luck!
