265 Questions, Failed, Please Help!!!!

Hello Everyone

I took my NCLEX on Thursday for the 2nd time and was told I failed on Saturday. Please help!!! I did the, Saunders Strategies for Success, Kaplan CD Trainer, Saunders Q&A CD and went through the chapter of the Saunders book and also read the Kaplan Book. I don't know what else to do. :idea: I can't give up because I have come to far. Please give me some useful advice please!!!

From what I've read of Suzanne's plan, it's all about following a process of review before testing before advancing to the next part. I wish I'd known about Suzanne's plan.

I also think Kaplan prepares you for the style of questions, but not the content. Best to get a sampling of different types of questions (Lipincott, Mosby, Saunders, ...)

Thanks for the advice and I'm sorry about what happen to you. I completed the first part of Suzanne's plan last time but my test date was 4 weeks away and I didn't have the funds to change my date. Do you know if I need to schedule my test first before I pm her?

She likes you to have six week or so after you start the second part of her plan before you take your NCLEX (I think). You do need to email her what your test date is. It is a wonderful plan and only Suzanne give out her information. Follow the plan she has laid out and I am sure you will have success.

I wasn't thrilled w/ my live Kaplan review b/c I was in PTSD and uable to focus. I had just been attacked in my home. So I was feeling rather unconfident and vulnerable.

Thanks Kay. It's been rough. That's for sure. And that which does not kill us...so anyway, we made it!!!!

May be worth doing Suzanne's programme and see how it goes and then register to re sit the exam, no point rushing if you feel you are not quiet ready.

:uhoh21:Hello I am in the same boat as you are in. I also did the strategies as well as the saunders, kaplan and also examcram. What I need to really focus on is the medications which I never heard of the ones that were introduced to me on the nclex. Lets hope some one out there will help those in need. We shall not give up, as you said we have come TOO FAR.

Hello

It is nice to know I am not alone. With the meds I use the the odd man out and I understood the meaning of side effect and adverse effect. The odd man out is where you group things together for example: Celebrex how you know if it is working 1. bloading 2. constipation 3. joint stiffness 4. heartburn look at each choice and you can see that 3 choices relate to GI system so the other must be the answer 3. Hope this help. Also look at the ending of the med like pril - ace inhibitor = decrease BP. You can pm me if you like.
