questions about contract

my first assignment starts 5/14 but i havent signed the contract. i still have a couple of questions

1) the contract says the facility can cancel me 36hrs through the whole contract. do i have to make that up because it says i have to work 468hrs in the 13week period

2) does it affect my pier diem and stipend if i get cancelled?

3) it says that orientation is not guaranteed. how have your hrs been during your first week for orientation?

4) their employee handbook says that the company recognizes holidays but there are not offering me holiday pay for july or memorial day. can i request for time off on those days?

thanks for any input you may have.

 are you posting this for someone in particular? otherwise I don't see how you could possibly expect anyone, other than the agency you're working for, to answer these questions

i just wanted to know how it works with other agencies or what others contracts have been. thanks for the sarcasm though.

Your contract does need to clarify every one of your questions. They are all valid points and many contracts overlook them. You should not be punished for missed hours that are allowed by the contract. It is common for contracts to have that disconnect. A good agency will willingly modify the contract to clarify these points.

Holidays subject to overtime pay should be specified. And if you want specific days guaranteed off (they don't have to be holidays, and it is easier to get ordinary days off), they must be approved by the hospital before you sign the contract with the agency.
