This is true, Angie. I would certainly recommend that anyone looking for nursing schools go and speak with a counselor for every school that they're interested in, to get an accurate picture of likelihood of admission. One thing I would ask is, how many people applied last year, for how many spots?
I go to galen www.galened.com, it is a great school, no waitinglists or anything, iam in their LPN program they also have a Rn program, i love it!!! Great school!! the downside is, it costs $14,000 for LPn and another $14,000 for RN.
I did the same. I actually got an Associates in Liberal Arts while doing my pre-reqs for nursing. I did all of my BSN pre-reqs for USF as well and got tired of waiting for SPC to accept me. (I had a 3.86 gpa and still was waiting). I am attending Keiser college and will finish my LPN in October. Then I plan to do a bridge program. Keiser is right next to Galen and I hear good things about Galen as well. There are plenty of schools to choose from in the Pinellas/Hillsborough/Pasco counties.

Im moving to the tampa bay area and noticed there are a few schools that offer nurses programs. Im going for and RN two year program. I found a school called Galen College that is a school specifically for nursing. I was wondering if anyone has been there and what do they think? I dont really want to go to a university cause there are too many students, i have ADD, and get distrcted easily. Any hints, tips, or ideas would be great! Thanks!
