So, if for example there is a 2 dollar shift differential for working nights and a 3 dollar shift differential for working weekends, what if you work a weekend night? Does that mean you get 5 dollars total or do hospitals take the higher shift differential wage (3 dollars) and just use that.
No one here is really going to be able to answer your question. At some facilities the differential might be combined, at some you might just get the weekend diff on the weekend, and at others there is no weekend diff.Why don't you ask someone you work with.

At my hospital we get 4.50 for 3-11pm and 4.00 for 11pm-7am. On weekends we get 8.00 on top of the shift diff. So if you work a Friday night you will get 12.00-12.50 extra an hour!
