Hi!
So for those recently accepted into OU's basic BSN program-- how was your GPA? Specifically your pre-nursing GPA? Were you already an OU student or did you transfer? I'm hearing that if you're a transfer student with a high pre-nursing GPA you're put at the bottom of the list because they give major preference to OU students. Can you attest to that?
Thanks so much!

Hi,
I started OU's traditional BSN program about a year ago.
OU's admission GPA has sky rocketed about 2 years ago. I got in with around 3.72 I believe. My science GPA comes out about 3.8-3.9 I believe. But only the pre req's matter for admissions.
I graduated high school then went straight into pre nursing at OU. Although I did hear that OU prefers the students from school itself, but I also heard that they are changing that along with the grading scale. OU Nursing school's grading scale is brutal as well. Only way to get a 4.0 is to get 100%. Anything below will be something like 97.99%=3.8 etc..
So far I do like the program, especially the building since I don't have to go anywhere but that building. Also one thing I can say is that local hospitals love OU students lol. Currently working at one right now.
Also I think I heard that for this Fall's application, there were around 300-400 people applying.. don't quote me for that though.
Good luck!
