How often should a portable humidifier be changed for a pt in the hospital? (ie-the little humidifier that connects to the oxygen tank when there isn't a wall humidifier) like the one in the link below? What's the general time interval to replace it?

I think ours are changed every 48 hours...

I usually change it when there is 1/3 left. I am curious what the answer is though.

Depends on policy, however if it's empty, replace it. My place is q weekly for all oxygen supplies
