I was told that Rio Salado has a waiting period of up to two years from the time your put your application in to the time you start classes. Does anyone know if there are any colleges in the Phoenix area that don't have as long of a waiting time? Thanks!
Several that I know of. Private colleges do not have a waitlist as far as I know. GCC has a waitlist of a year and I checked on that two weeks ago. From what I have been told the wait is around a year in general and then of course some programs will be a little longer. I'd just call each school and ask. You can get all of the school names off the AZ board of nursing website......
ASU has no wait, they rank their applicants and take the top scorers. Last I heard GCU has no wait either. Many providers have agreements with the CC's and can get you in quicker if you work for them and they do not have a wait with their employee's. There is always the Banner Fellowship as well.
Yes, SHC does it. The nice thing about banner is you don't have to work there to be accepted. You apply to the banner fellowship, if you are accepted they pay your way through school, then you go to work there under a three year contract, assuming you get licensed, otherwise you pay them back.
