Question about the NET

Published

Hi, my name is Ella and I have been checking out this site for a few months now and finally got the nerves to post a question here.:)

Well, I am from CT and I am getting ready to take the pre-entrance exam for the LPN program at Porter and Chester, my question is , is it true that the NET test will only have basic math and reading? I have been studying science because I had read somewhere that it would be part of the test as well. Thanks for all your input.

Wow that's a big difference, you must have been really nervous the first time. I called them too and they said the april class was full. Can you go on a waiting list? If not October will be here before you know it.

Yes, I was very nervous, I couldn't think straight at all. I was told that they will let me know in about a week if I have a spot for the October session. I can't wait to hear from them. I really do feel my interview went well, but who knows.:uhoh21:

hi ella, congratulation!!!!

could you give me alink at the website where to schedule the test? and what books to use?

Hey skazka, Like I said before, I really don't know have a link to give you, but I'm sure if you call the school that you applied to , they can give you the information you need to prepare for the NET and to set up a date for it. Sorry I couldn't help. Good Luck

Oops, what I meant to say was ( I don't have a link to give you):lol2:

Well, I have been wanting to write to you all for over a week to let you know what's been going on but my computer was down. Anyhow, I recieved my acceptance letter last week . I will be starting the LPN Program this fall. I'm excited and nervous but mostly excited.:monkeydance:

Congrats!!!:balloons:

It is my first day on this site. I have an interest in attending a LPN school, but do not know what direction to go. Tech. schools are so much cheaper! I heard there is a waiting list and there is only one session at a time. Is Porter and Chester is very expensive? That would be the school I would focus on going to. Please tell me any info. you can about the school. I wonder if I could study and test in time for the Oct. class. I wish I could work part-time too.Thank you for any help.

Porter an Chester cost $25,000-30,000.

Hey there taigee, :welcome: ,

I chose to go to Porter and Chester because I wanted to start school as soon as possible. I did try for kaynor tech. but did not get in. It does cost much less than these private institutes. It's costing me about 30,000. I know that is alot of money, but like I said before I wanted to start now. I just couldn't wait for next August to start.

Now about the LPN program at Porter and Chester. The program is new at this school. 12 out of the 20 students graduated yesterday. I just started the program on Monday and love it. I know it's early in the program to say this but I absolutely love my instructors. They are there to make sure you pass and if you are having difficulties understanding the subject, they will go over it with you untill you understand it. They are a bit strict but also very funny. I know for a fact that I will accomplish my goals because I have them teaching me.

I was supposed to start in October but lucky for me they squeezed two more students in for the April program. Maybe you should give the school a call and get more info. if your still interested in attending their school.

Good luck to you in whatever you choose

Ella
