question about keeping CNA license active

Looks like I might have a job offer (fingers crossed). The position is as a residential treatment center counselor. It's a treatment center for adolescents who have eating disorders or other mental health issues. Part of the requirement for the job was you had to have a CNA license. Since this is not a LTC center will it qualify when it comes to keeping my CNA license active? I was told that in order to remain active you have to work as a CNA atleast once during the two years or your license will expire. Does your job title have to actually be CNA or would this position count . I totally forgot to ask this in my interview.

Just check with you state agency that certifies the CNAs. Also find out how you report back them that you are indeed still working because this place probably won't do it for you like a LTC would.

On second thought I just looked up my exp. date and it's 2015. Ill be done with my lvn in October of 2013 so I guess it really does not matter since at that point I won't need it anymore anyway...problem solved.
